Central, friendly, old

The location of the hostel is good, right next to Plaza Foch. Good nightlife, bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel is very safe with a 24 hour reception.
The owners are multilingual and friendly.
The house itself would be nice as it creates a mansion atmosphere. However, the house is old and in need of renovation. We have seen more beautiful hostels on our Ecuador journey. The rooms are old-fashioned and have no charm. The bathroom was integrated afterwards as an open space in the room, which gives a strange picture and leaves no privacy.
The hotel offers a good, simple breakfast, which is included in the price.
However, the negative points must always be seen in relation to the price. It is very cheap, because of that, one should not expect much more luxury. All in all, a good choice for a short stay in Quito if you don't want to spend too much money.

Very friendly and welcoming

Yellow house is a small family run and owned pension in the hart of the "Mariscal" district of Quito (New town). Mother and daughter go out of there way to make you feel welcome and to help you to organize your further trip.
They speak german and english.
Breakfast was included in the room price.
