Families that love to be active together while spending time outside enjoy this condo-style hotel with one- to four-bedroom accommodations (with rooms for up to 14 people) on Edisto Island on the southern coast of South Carolina. The resort fronts a bay and lagoon, with dedicated cabanas on the beach a short drive away. Spend your time enjoying the three outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, onsite playground, basketball court and bike rentals. Be aware that units are two or three stories, with access by stairs only.

If you want to be near the ocean and almost nothing else, this is the place to be

Resort is beautiful. Unit was very clean and well equipped. But we were located on the bottom floor of a two level unit and there was no sound proofing at all! Our upstairs neighbors were up until after 1 or 2AM every night and, along with their noise, the sound of water rushing through the walls when the toilet was flushed made for disturbed sleep every night of our visit with the exception of one. And we could also count on the grounds maintenance crew to be running their very loud equipment at 7:30 AM. Come to play but don't come to rest!

Don't expect much if you need handicap accommodations. None of the toilet seats were more than 24 inches from the floor. The tub was the size of a small ark and took an enormous amout of water and time to fill.
