My BF and I made reservations for a Friday and Saturday night online days before our visit. We confirmed those reservations before arriving at the hotel.
We checked in on Friday, October 25 and were assigned a room. We went to our room and the key cards didnt work to unlock and open the door, so my BF went back down to front desk and was issued 2 new cards. We used those cards Friday evening and all day Saturday without a problem. On Saturday night at midnight, the front desk staff called our room and threatened to call the police ‘if we did not vacate the room’. My BF went down to find out what the issue/mistake was and was told that we were not in the right room and were essentially poaching!! He said we were in the room that was ASSIGNED to us at check in. The front desk clerk and her manager acted like jerks until she looked in the computer and acknowledged that she had made a mistake. She gave a very weak apology and went on about her business!
So this incompetent B was ready to call the cops on us ( and possibly have us killed) in the middle of the night based on the WYNDHAM GARDEN SAN JOSE hotel’s MISTAKE!
No hotel is worth potentially losing one’s life over based in ignorance and complete incompetence.
Other issues working against this hotel:
1. It is old and a 3 ( on the low end of 3) out of 5, at BEST.
2. A Totally clueless and incompetent staff.
3. No evidence of a cleaning crew.
4. A parking lot that is often filled with patrons for a bar that shares the same parking lot.
5. Multiple parking spaces are occupied by large trucks preventing hotel patrons from finding a reasonable place to park.
6. Gym is marginal and is NOT outfitted with the most up to date fitness equipment- as erroneously advertised.
7. Overall look of the place is dark and in serious need of renovation.
8. Stains on the furniture and carpet in the room was disgusting.
9. Found long hairs on the floor in the bathroom.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this
place. You can do a LOT better and not be threatened with having the cops called on you in the middle of the night by a couple of complete losers for NO reason. It isnt worth it!

From my way to Vegas to mountain view, I stumbled upon this nice and serien place in San hose. Place is nice and people are good. Expect for not getting a bellboy to bring my luggage to the room, more or less every other thing was good.
