Located only three miles from downtown Austin, Wyndham Garden Hotel offers spacious rooms with flat-screen televisions and skyline views. Alternatively, families can opt for one of the poolside casitas — large suites with separate bedrooms and kitchens. Kids under age 17 stay for free with parents, and pets are allowed for a fee. The property includes an outdoor, heated pool and hot tub. ReVive! is an onsite restaurant known for its All-Natural Black Angus beef burgers (truly Texan). It is open for all meals and no reservations are required. A coffee bar is also at the hotel, serving Starbucks products. Area family-friendly attractions include the Austin Children’s Museum and the Austin Zoo.

We weren’t really impressed with our room. The hotel is nice as you walk in and the lobby is good but our room was pretty disappointing. The light was messed up and our entire floor had a smell to it that was almost nauseating.

Spent 3 nights while in Austin for a conference downtown. It's close enough to the airport, but not too far away from downtown. They do offer a 24h shuttle to/from the hotel which is really convenient (you just call the reception when arriving in Austin). To reach downtown, you can either get a 10$ Uber (10 mins) or a bus for 2.50$ a day pass (30-35 mins). The only downside about the area is that there is really nothing to do around.
Room itself was big! Nice and comfortable bed. You have plenty of room to put your stuff on / in. The shower/bathtub felt a bit old. You also have access to a small gym with good enough stuff for a full workout.
I would recommend a room far away from the elevator and at the end of the hallway, because you will hear everybody walk and talk from the door (woke me up a couples time every of the 3 nights spent there).
