At this Wyndham resort, families can stay in one- or two-bedroom condos. Condos include kitchens, washer/dryer units, wireless Internet and cable television. Larger condos fit up to six people and include a Jacuzzi tub. Let the good times roll at the two outdoor pools, children’s playground and game room. At the “Get Out & Play” program, daily activities are planned, including crafts, bingo and pool games. Families can rent movies or play ping pong, as well. Picnic tables and BBQ areas allow for meals spent enjoying the sunshine. Complimentary breakfast is available every Monday.

Assigned an occupied room

For starters, they gave us a room that was already occupied! Nothing like walking into your hotel room at about 11:30pm after a really long day and finding two people already in the room. Thank God they were still awake! People can be killed for mistakes like this. Completely unacceptable. We head back to check in to let them know about what happened and they were more concerned with figuring out what went wrong than just getting us a room. Once we finally got our new room keys, we were told management would call us the next day to explain themselves and figure out a way to compensate us. They never did. The only call we received in the room was from the front desk to pick up our "permit parking pass and welcome packet." For those of you new to timeshare, this is code for "we haven't tried to sell you yet bc you got in too late but its business hours and we are ready to sell you now so please come downstairs and see us so you can be sold." So never got the call to apologize but sure did get the call for them to try and rope us into some bum timeshare presentation. Absolutely ridiculous. As far as the room goes, it was just okay. The linens are rougher than newspaper. Seriously, when you turn in the night it sounds like you're stuffing gift bags with tissue paper (but worse because tissue paper is softer). Aside from a convenient location, there are no frills at this hotel. Keep a low expectation.

Orlando Vacation for Two

We are Wyndham owners. This was our first stay at the Cypress Palms Resort. We booked a 1BR Deluxe with a King Bed. Check in was very smooth (Jesus was very personable). Then onto Guest Services to get your parking pass and hard sell for owner's update. The owner's update is typical of all Wyndham resorts. Simply decline it and don't believe for a second that they'll be done in an hour. Regardless the staff was helpful. We were provided with local area information, and activities schedules. Everything else was easy. Our unit sleeps 4, has a stackable W/D and a full kitchen. Conveniently located near the Disney parks. There were several major restaurants, drugstores and a grocery store within walking distance. Sorry - no pics of the BR or BA. The others are the common areas of the unit and the view from our screened in deck. Great unit!
