About 85 miles south of Atlanta, sits Macon, Georgia long called “The Heart of Georgia” because the metropolitan area claimed the center of the state. Whether you’re passing through or staying awhile, Macon offers a lot to do including the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Macon Cherry Blossom Festival (every March), historical home tours, music history, and is fast becoming considered a college town. Don’t miss the beaches on Lake Tobesofkee.
The Wingate by Wyndham in Macon is just off I-75 and is 6.8-miles from the historical Hay House, 7.5 miles to Mercer University and 11 miles to Lake Tobesofkee. The Wingate offers standard rooms in a king or two queens. Upgrade to a king suite with a separate living room, a small dining area and a pullout sofa. The property also offers a king bed with a hot tub. Rooms come with a flat-screen TV, microwave, and a mini-fridge. Rollaways are available for a fee. The perks include a complimentary breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi. The property also has an outdoor pool, a fitness room and coin-operated laundry.

A very nice experience. The staff were great! The room was clean. Heat worked well. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Only issue I had was with breakfast. Not enough variety. Fruit was not yet ripe enough to eat but out to serve.
