This was a last minute booking for a quick get away for my husband and kids for peace on a lake. This was mostly everything we hoped it would be...I thought I booked a cabin but it was a motel room. It was a same day reservation so booked deluxe 2 queens but didn't realize it was motel and not the one I was looking at for 2 bedroom cabin. I should have said something when checking in because they don't put all rooms online in case they have walk-ins or last minute bookings (smart). Lesson learned to call direct if I don't see it online to book. Still the motel room ended up suiting our needs just fine - spacious enough, clean, had mini tall fridge/freeze, very clean, air conditioner, well maintained room and bathroom. The pool was crystal clear and so much fun - 4' to 9' deep, with steps to walk in. Clearly the management take pride in there establishment because it shows. They have a private beach area with some chairs. They have it all for you to rent - canoe, kayaks, pedal boat, row boat, etc. The lake (Golden Pond) was gorgeous. We swam to the diving platform and had a blast for hours. I used to manage quality program for a large hotel chain, and I don't give 5 bubble ratings unless it is truly deserved. Thank you for the perfect lake side getaway. Will be back in August.

We always look for a family-run place with a pool for our kids. We found that and so much more! The pool is clean and spacious. The property is also on a charming little spot on the waterfront beside a mountain. They rent pedalboats, very reasonably priced. The motel room was extremely clean, and well maintained! The best windows in any motel I've ever stayed in with levered windows in the back and wide, new windows in front, for the best cross breeze ever! The staff at the front was so helpful and friendly, helping us out. I would strongly recommend this place. I felt safe and comfy. Oh, and the beds were really comfy, with high thread count sheets. Really fantastic all around.
