Overview

The White House Inn on the Waterfront has one of the more scenic locations in Homer. From its decks, you look out over both the beautiful Kachemak Bay and the unusual Homer Spit. It’s a good base from which to explore the town, stroll on the beach or drive down the 4-mile-long spit. The Inn has six spacious rooms, all of which are luxuriously decorated. A large family will want to book The Halibut Room, which can sleep up to six people on two king beds and a sleeper sofa. It has a fully equipped kitchen with upgraded appliances and plenty of dishware. Parents will love the covered front porch that looks out on the ocean. Kids will love that the beach is right outside the room. Everyone will enjoy the outdoor hot tub.
Much of downtown Homer is within walking distance of the White House Inn. There are several restaurants on the street behind the Inn, while Homer’s seasonal farmers market is practically in its backyard. The Kachemak Water Trail is just minutes away as well. Follow this nature trail to the Alaska Islands and Ocean Visitor Center, where kids can get their Junior Biologist badge and learn about sea life in the area. Take a drive on the Homer Spit to peruse the shops and restaurants at the harbor, or take a boat across the bay to Halibut Cove and the kid-friendly Grewingk Glacier Trail. At the end of the day, you’ll love returning to the comfort and luxury of the White House Inn on the Waterfront. It’s a fine choice for your family vacation in Alaska.

The inn is Waterfront! Beautiful views. You can see the bay and the mountains from your room. You can walk to the beach if you like. Great rooms. Bed was very comfortable. TV and internet worked well.

You offered an additional room for me to check out on our arrival date. I didn't do it and probably should have as our room was quite crowded for luggage and toiletries to put out for use. Not your fault, mine
