Westin has long had a trustworthy brand that is dedicated to families, offering kids’ backpacks filled with goodies at check-in to having kid-approved healthy Children’s Menu options at its onsite restaurants. Pet-friendly, this Westin is located near the Los Angeles International Airport, providing a shuttle to and from the airport to the hotel and then offering the convenience of close proximity to highways and area beaches. (However, if you rent a car, parking will run between $30 to $42 per day.)
Guest rooms and suites at this Westin total 740 options with king beds or two double beds. Suites provide separate sleeping and living quarters with a sleeper sofa in the living room. The largest suites are the Deluxe Corner Suites, which also feature private balconies. Executive Level rooms receive access to the Executive Lounge, which provides free Continental breakfast, hors d’ouevres, drinks, bottled water and Wi-Fi. Sign up to be a SPG member (free) and receive complimentary Wi-Fi during your stay, regardless of room option.
This Westin location, being so close to Manhattan Beach, offers a special surf concierge and package that includes a surf lesson, surf gear and more with your stay. A small outdoor pool is made to be more of a lap pool but serves its purpose as entertainment for kids when adults aren’t squeezing in laps.
Dining at the Westin includes breakfast through dinner at the Daily Grill. This American casual restaurant provides breakfast starting at 6 a.m. and stay open until 11 p.m. on weekends. Café Blvd. provides gran and go pastries and snacks near the front desk, while the Lobby Lounge provides lite bites and drinks during the evenings.

From the time I enetered the property I was treated as a valued customer.
The valets were very courteous and respectful and a pleasure to use. The check in and out were easy and pleasant.
I was traveling unaccompanied and I felt relaxed and safe.
The room was very clean and restful and most of all not a lot of noise from planes.

Our official checkout time was noon on Wednesday. When we checked in Tuesday evening, they asked when we thought we might check out on Wednesday. I said we would likely check out sometime around 9am Wednesday, thinking this information would help them with their housekeeping schedule. The next morning we ended up going down to breakfast a few minutes later than we anticipated and breakfast took a few minutes longer than anticipated, so when we asked for them to charge breakfast to our room, it was a few minutes after 9am and we found out that they had already checked us out of our room without our knowledge or permission. We had to get the restaurant bill sorted out because I had not brought my wallet down to breakfast, thinking I would just sign for it. Then we went back up to our room to retrieve our bags and our keys no longer worked so we had to go back to the lobby to get new keys made. Again, I had no ID on me so we had to wait for security to escort us to our room with new keys so they could let us into our hotel room and someone could check my ID in order to get our bags. Because we were already running a few minutes late, it was really disappointing to have to try to work through charging our breakfast to our room, going back down to the lobby to have new keys made, and waiting for security to come let us in our room. I wouldn't stay here again, but if any of you are brave enough to, please don't give them an accurate time as to when you are checking out, or you will be locked out of your room early without your permission and you will have to go through a number of hoops to get back in. Other than that, the hotel was nice and the beds were comfortable.
