I had high hopes and really loved this hotel at the start. Sadly things went downhill during out 3 night stay. To start, as soon as we walked in, the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Edcardo and Ricardo were both super knowledgeable and great to us this entire trip! needless to say, our first night was fantastic despite the air conditioning being too difficult to navigate and it never really getting cold despite putting the AC to its lowest setting. Day 2 we set out on our PR adventures and came back to a room that was not clean and no fresh towels, we went downstairs to inquire and were sent towels immediately and the maid turned over the room - Great. Day 3 - same thing, except we requested our room to be cleaned twice and still the housekeeping staff did not do it, the simply left towels on the un-made bed left. we also got an outdated note that day that there would be NO HOT WATER in the rooms. Now granted PR is hot, especially in July, but there's nothing worse than coming back to your room to take a ice cold shower. The breakfast foods were stale - especially the bagels. The coffee was pretty bad. The walls were paper thin so every early morning we heard kids screaming and loud people slamming doors constantly. OH and I almost forgot, the elevator was like something straight out of a horror movie. It would slam closed and move a little uncontrollably. It was scary, to say the least. I really hope they fixed that. Regardless, staff was still great - Jacuzzi's were amazing. I wish the bar on the roof opened at one point like they said it would, but it never did during out stay. The location is close to the beach and AMAZING restaurants. The restaurant downstairs was INCREDIBLE. A bit of a mixed bad because there was so much good and bad and the front desk staff was really great so I hate to give a really negative review, but it really was just a bit average.

I assumed it was just good photos because I’ve never been to a two star hotel that looks this good (and it’s so well located).
But it’s true.
Cool room. Great staff. Superb location.
Yes, for 10 seconds you might feel like it’s in a rough area of town... but if you walk 2 minutes (literally 2 minutes) a great road with great restaurants and the ocean right in front.
Enjoy this economical gem.
