Lovely hotel great location

Stayed here 5 nights in October.
Its a lovely hotel.
Believe all the nice things said about it here. I would have given a 5 star but for the size of the room which is very small.
Everything else was really great. From the friendliness of all the staff to the great breakfast included in the price. You just wont beat the Washington for value and location.

Historic and classy old school hotel in the heart of Greenwich Village

On the Northwest Corner of Washington Square Park, this hotel is a perfect location for seeing the best of downtown Manhattan and avoiding mid-town congestion and through the roof hotel prices. The rooms tend toward being small but well maintained and the hotel remains an elegant memory of old Greenwich Village when it was frequented by movie stars and famous rock bands. The North Star Restaurant in the hotel has good food and the cocktail lounge is reminiscent of classy '50s night clubs. I love the place.
