This is a hip luxury hotel with a distinct Texas vibe. Think lasso sculptures and armadillo skin accents. You are in the heart of downtown, close to museums, festival sites, the Dallas Zoo, shopping and The Perot Museum, among other local attractions. There’s an outdoor infinity pool with spectacular city views on the 16th floor. For every day you decline housekeeping to “Make a Green Choice,” you’ll be rewarded with 500 Preferred Guest Starpoints. Pets are welcome and the “Whatever/Whenever Service” means the staff will aim to get you what you want, when you want it, whether a fast food burger or tickets to a pro sports game.
Rooms have one king bed or two queens. Suites are large, but designed to sleep two. Come to Cook Hall for Jazz Brunch Sundays with live jazz every Sunday. The Cook Hall is a modern American gastropub where you can share sliders and ribs, shrimp and grits and Texas peach cobbler. There’s a DJ at the Living Room Bar in the lobby. There’s free Wi-Fi for SPG loyalty club members – sign up, it’s free.
Check-in time is 3 p.m.; check-out is noon.

If you would like to check out with all the belongings you owned when you checked in, DO NOT STAY HERE.
Abysmal service, unsafe rooms, never again.
I had a bag of toiletries and medication stolen from this hotel. The staff did not take my call seriously. They took 2 hours to send a security person (who didn't know how to do his job) to my room who did absolutely nothing (he didn't even walk into the room to look around). I have had to re-explain myself to at least 6 people from the hotel. The GM didn't apologize. I have multiple emails unanswered. NOTHING has been done, NOTHING has been reimbursed. I have wasted hours trying to help this hotel make things right and keep a customer, but I feel I might have to take legal action.
The basics you expect from a hotel are not met at the W Dallas. It is unsafe. Will never stay at this location again.
