A friend and I stayed at Vivanta for 3 nights on bed and breakfast for a short stopover during our travels. It was definitely a great stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Langkawi.
Room - we had a sea view room and it was spacious and good enough for two people for our length of stay with the usual amenities we would expect.
Restaurant - the food was amazing! A great selection of different cuisines and they cater well for vegetarians. We tried middle eastern, Indian and Italian during our stay all full of flavour and a good variety to choose from. I would recommend the Dal Makhni and Spinach Lasagne. I also enjoyed the fresh juices i would recommend the Green Cooler juice. Hats off to the chef and the team!
Facilities - there are a range of activities and facilities here from a nature walk, tennis and squash court, gym, pool table, table tennis and also a carom board! They also had a live musician each night. All details have been thought of to keep us entertained. There is also an outdoor pool and bar and I would recommend the fresh coconut and Malibu!
Spa - we used the spa 2/3 of the days we were there. The staff were polite and really went out of their way to make our experience a good one. I would recommend the head massage or full body massage both were relaxing experiences.
General - overall the staff were very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome.
To be made aware of - not so much a negative and i quite liked this about the trip, the hotel is a 10-15 minutes drive to the hotel port from the airport where a boat leaves to take you to the hotel which is another 10 minutes boat journey to the hotel on Rebak Island. The boat leaves every half hour or so and the last boat is at 7.45pm so if you plan to arrive after this time i would contact the hotel directly. Although there is always hotel staff around that can help you at the port. The hotel is on an island with nothing else around so the closest town will require to take this boat if you want to leave the hotel or island for a day. We did a day trip and hired a driver to take us site seeing for a day and you can see all of Langkawi in a day.
Prices are generally cheaper outside of the resort but some of the spa treatments i felt were cheaper within the resort rather then outside. But still great value for money overall.

Excellent service, rooms. Food is great as well, especially Indian. Breakfast has enough veg options. Special mention to Jalal (guide to show us around) , Kyam , all the staff in the reception & f&b service dept. One of the best services amongst the hotels visited. Everyone has a smile and speaks warmly.
