One of Winter Park’s original upscale lodges, built in the mid 1980s, the Vintage has since been eclipsed in style by its newer neighbors, but with its heated outdoor pool and lower prices, it’s still a good choice for a family stay. The hotel offers a variety of options, from standard rooms to studios with kitchenettes and fireplaces, and one or two-bedroom suites. It’s also pet friendly. Kids will love riding the open-air cabriolet lift that connects the hotel to the ski area base, a third of a mile away. In winter, the Five Mountain Tavern, a full-service restaurant, operates on site and shows vintage cartoons on the big-screen TV.
