Part of a Spanish luxury hotel chain, the Vincci Selección Estrella del Mar, Malaga is actually located near the beach in the nearby resort town of Marbella. The property makes for a friendly and five-star stay on Spain’s Costa del Sol, in the country’s sunny south. The hotel’s modern design incorporates both Mediterranean and Arabian influences and the 137 rooms and suites include many with sea views and amenities such as both showers and bathtubs, mini-bars and European-style toilets separated in their own little room.
Kids will have a ball enjoying the four outdoor swimming pools after a day of touring nearby Malaga, and the property is also close to one of the best beaches in Marbella. You can pay extra for access to the hotel’s beach club. A mini-club for kids is offered during the busy summer travel months, and babysitting services can be arranged year-round. The hotel’s onsite restaurant has a lovely outdoor sitting area where you don’t have to worry about disturbing the more refined ambiance inside.

The hotel lived up to the usual Vincci standards which is why we chose it. It provided us and our 10 year old son with a peaceful and warm October break. Just what we were looking for. We used the buffet restaurant a few times, but selecting a B&B deal allowed us to dine out at some pf Marbella's great restaurants.

Travelling as 2 couples one with Easyjet holidays and one with Jet2 holidays we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel.
Rooms were very spacious with large bath/shower rooms. Everything in the room was good quality.
Meals were buffet style. A full choice of all food at both breakfast and dinner, all of top quality.
All staff were smartly dressed and had a helpful can do attitude.
A couple of small negatives :- bar drinks pricey. The a la carte restaurant lacked ambience, although the food was very good.
The pools and public area are spacious, clean and tidy. Overall the hotel has a feel of quality and calm, with wonderful staff.
The hotel is in a good location, 150m from miles of sandy beach with several bars/ restaurants. Most of these are pricey.
For a taste of Spain turn right out of the hotel and within 200m you will find the Rubyana restaurant (see my review).
Will definitely return to this lovely hotel.
