Overview

This Florida golf resort boasts award-wining 45 holes of Jack Nicklaus Signature-designed golf and instruction at Grand Cypress Academy of Golf. The Villas of Grand Cypress offers luxury, relaxation and recreation for golfers and non-golfers. At the 1,500-acre resort, you’ll find nine-hole Pitch ‘n’ Putt golf, a racquet club, in-room spa services, health club and fitness center, two pools with waterfalls and two water slides, a rock climbing wall, jogging and biking trails, fishing pools, Lake Windsong and Marina and more.

The resort is located adjacent to Walt Disney World and within 15 minutes of Universal Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando. On-site transportation services as well as shuttle services to local theme parks are available.

The resort’s dining options include the up-scale restaurant Nine-18, the casual The Club Restaurant and Sports Bar, the poolside bar and snack cabana and in-room dining service.

My Favorite Non Disney Resort

First, of all the my villa looked like it was out of the 1980’s, but that did not bother me at all because it made me feel like Queen Elizabeth II and Late British Prime Minster Margaret Thatcher where sixty instead of Madonna. Second they have a great swimming pool with a great pool bar. Third they have a good clubhouse. Fourth the service is great. Lastly, you can use the facilities at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. Which has a great swimming pool with waterfalls and watersides.

Golf trip for 22 players.

From Villa registration to the golf courses everything was excellent! The villa accommodations were top notch, a simple walk to the clubhouse. All of the staff were friendly and most helpful. The golf courses were in great shape, not a single issue. The golf staff went out of their way on a morning when it had rained, they were able to get us out on the course in the afternoon.
