We were pleasantly satisfied with the comfortable, clean, accomodations. Being on the ground floor near the front desk was convenient to parking, . I would return when visiting Elora again.etc. There were nearby eating places such as a family style restaurant aptly called The Gorge. We noticed the traffic on the nearby highway in the early evening but not too noticeable later , to disrupt sleeping. The staff was courteous & friendly.

Stayed at the Village Inn for the July 27th weekend. Check in was fast. Clerk was polite. Rooms are older but very clean and well kept. Motel is 5-6 minute, very easy, walk to downtown Elora. Stayed in a first floor room that had a sliding door to outside. This was handy to access my vehicle which was parked directly at the door. Unfortunately, you can lock this door only from the inside, so it was handy for packing and unpacking the car only. There is a high step over the threshold of this door to get outside as there is no patio outside this door.
Free WiFi, which worked great. Shower was a bit slow and towels are minimal, but I'm sure you can ask for extra towels (I didn't). Our room was very well cleaned and made up for for our second night. Only issue I had was that there are picnic tables in the back of the hotel. People from the room next to us went out there to smoke in the early morning (6AM) and were a bit loud. There didn't appear to be a desk clerk after 12PM. Not sure what happens if you need assistance.
This is a low budget motel, but it is well kept and well run. It could use some investment into the grounds just to make them more appealing, but the corridors and rooms are good, albeit a bit older. It is a great choice for anyone looking to save a few dollars.
Favourite moment: when I discovered the pop machine charges $1 per pop.
