The Villa Roma Resort and Conference Center in the Catskills truly has something for everyone in the family. The 198 guestrooms and suites can sleep up to eight and offers separate bedrooms and sofa beds for even more privacy. All come with free Wi-Fi, coffee makers and cable TV. Some have kitchenettes and balconies, too.
When you’re not sleeping in your suite at Villa Roma, you’ll be doing lots of indoor and outdoor activities. Besides the basics — pools, game room and complimentary lawn activities — families can enjoy the kids program, the teen lounge, the sports complex, golf and more. The resort has three pools — one inside and two outside. The outdoor pools have a waterslide and water mushrooms for kids to play on. A zero-entry kids’ pool is also available with a dumping bucket, jungle gym and water spray features.
Complimentary summer activities include tennis, basketball, sand volleyball, handball, horseshoes, shuffleboard, bocce ball, softball, hiking and a children’s playground. Families can pay additional fees for other activities, like bumper boats, paintball, rock climbing and horseback riding. Complimentary winter activities include the indoor pool, game room, Ping Pong and billiards. The Villa Roma Ski Area is open seasonally and offers skiing, tubing, snowboarding and ice skating, too.
The kids program is available for kids between 3 and 12, with separate sections for certain age groups. Activities include go karts, arts and crafts, storytelling, face painting, hiking, bonfires, scavenger hunts and more. The kids program is available seasonally and some fees may apply for certain activities. While the little ones are at the kids program, teens can enjoy the arcade room, teen lounge and the Wii room.
When it’s time for a family meal, take your pick from one of the six eateries at the resort. The Main Dining Room is open for all meals, as is the Roman Garden Cafe. Ronnie’s Deli is open only for breakfast and lunch and the Pool Grill is open seasonally for brunch, lunch or snacks. Make a reservation at The Beechwoods Restaurant for dinner one night — best for special occasions. The Beechwood Grill is open seasonally for breakfast and dinner. Stop by the Coffee Bar in the morning to start your day right (bagels and pastries are available, too!). And end your night with a cone at Dolce’s Ice Cream Parlor, which serves 15 different flavors of Cold Stone ice cream.
A fitness center is onsite and shuttle service is available for local attractions. Parking is free at the resort, too.

We just finished up a weekend of conference planning with students for their state spring conference and can’t say enough about the staff and accommodations. The food was excellent and was made even better with the attentive and personable wait staff. From the moment that you arrive until you leave, everyone is so friendly and helpful. Thank you!

My sister in law was getting married at the resort so I called from Another state to book my room for my family a month in advanced In her block of rooms. I paid the room in FULL they took the money out of my bank account and then 2 days later I got an email stating that my room was cancelled stilled fully paid for not refunded just cancelled. I called and kept being told that a manager would call me back because they didn’t know why my reservation was cancelled but I never got a call I tried for a few days. I emailed the general manager and she finally had someone call me back and get everything worked out when I was on the phone with them she told me that my room was not only paid in full but I had over paid for my room. Well my husband got here first and checked in for us and they charged him and extra $13 when my husband told me I called the front desk he said that I owed that even after explaining what all had happed they did nothing to make any of this right. I had nothing but a hard time from the time I booked this room.
