Terrible place--I got several nasty spider bites at this place. Need to see my doctor. At first, I thought they were flea bites because everyone had dogs around us. I turned in a complaint for the manager and they did nothing. As the bites got worse and bigger and lumpy, I realized spiders had bitten me while I was taking a nap. Then to top it off, I almost got pulled out to sea by the hideous undertow. My husband tried to save me, but another younger man had to jump in and help to save us both! And there are absolutely NO SIGNS, warning people about the undertow. And this place encourages families??? Luckily, I didn't see any children, trying to play on the beach. Perhaps they asked, but I think a sign might have been in order. And I'm very upset that nothing came from my complaint to the manager. Nothing. Nada.

Our stay at Villa Montana Beach Resort was disappointing, starting w/check-in. Front desk person was not friendly at all, didn’t even tell us we could get beach towels from her. We were early & went to Eclipse Restaurant for lunch. Beachfront, fabulous food & gracious service saved our 2 day stay. While we did get our room before check-in time, there was no help w/our luggage & our room was at the end of the resort. When someone finally showed up to help, we had already taken luggage up sets of stairs to 2nd floor. Room was clean but 2 people received 2 towels, 1 hand towel & 1 washcloth. We asked about getting 2 lounges on the beach where umbrellas were set up...finally we were able to get 2 maintenance people to help us. Really? The safe in our room didn’t work, couldn’t be fixed. My significant other got a key after having to sign a legal disclosure about returning it. This resort is not a hotel, rather it supports owners & time share owners...no ice buckets, no water bottles, nothing...Having said all that, the venue is picturesque & every meal at the Eclipse Restaurant was extraordinary, the service was impeccable from Gabriel (afternoon/evening) & Kevin (morning) was also excellent.
