2nd time in bali after a long hiatus and villa nest was picked rather randomly after being overwhelmed with thousands of other options.

Location was great, in seminyak and near lotsa shops n restaurants.

We stayed in villa dua. Superbly gorgeous architecture with a deep pool, high ceiling and chic contemporary design.

Downside were the owner seems to overlook some details. Villa was extremely beautiful but not too practical in actual. The open concept living room area was too hot and humid to lounge in. A ceiling fan would be ideal. There are mosquitoes,frogs, slugs, bugs, lizards everywhere which we understand the villa concept is very "nature outdoor" vibe but finding alot of them as well in the bedroom was quite a downer.

Another dwnside was the AC in the bedroom was insanely warm and we woke up in sweat a few times in the night and u cant get wifi when ur in the bedroom.

Bfast was disappointing but apparently you can request what you want to have but we didnt so that was ok.

Good things to note were guests can access to canggu club. Its a big club house hangout with gym, pools and other recreation activities.

Above all, the very lovely nest team made up for the shortcomings esp awen and siti whom we have most contact with. Thk u awen for the flawless coordination, hospitality and professionalism and the ever smiling siti. Id be back to try more of ur cooking.

4 mates and myself stayed here for 5 days recently. Overall we found the villa to be pretty good and they met our needs. It is situated a bit out of town in an area that is filled with new, modern villas but yet the street setting is dirty and run down. The villa backs on to Astana Kunti. As others have mentioned, 3 men/boys undertake the cooking and cleaning duties for the villas and they do a pretty good job overall, but is only to an average standard. They are friendly and assist when they can. Breakfast was provided for us daily but it was repetitive and basic with bacon and eggs, toast and fruit offered each day. The villas themselves open up onto the pool area through consatina doors which do allow insects and the heat in. There is no A/C in the downstairs area, but is provided in the bedrooms. The kitchen area is basic so if you plan on cooking for yourself, this may be a problem. We ate out all of the time so wasn't an issue for us. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here but don't expect a brilliantly appointed, luxury villa in an exclusive area. Look elsewhere if this is wha you want.
