Overview

For the artistic family, this downtown Charleston hotel is located in the French Quarter District. The Vendue brings art directly to its guests and no two rooms are alike. The historic guestrooms are situated within two buildings across the street from each other, each having been a former warehouse in the 1700 and 1800s. The hotel was renovated in 2014 and is now home to more than 300 pieces of artwork and daily art tours through the hotel are available. The South Carolina Aquarium, several walking tours, the beach, kayaking and paddle boarding are all a short distance away from the hotel. Complimentary bicycles are available to explore the city. Kids will love the complimentary milk and cookies each evening. The guestrooms feature king or queen beds, a flat screen television and complimentary Wi-Fi access. A fireplace can be found in some of the rooms too. There are three onsite restaurants serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and Starbucks coffee.

My experience at the vendue was nothing but excellent. There were many people that tended to my needs and wants; there was Zach at the check-in desk, and Chris made a mean drink in the lobby bar, and John who was nothing less than perfection while serving me dinner in the restaurant. I couldn’t avast for a better experience to Charleston and thank you very much Mark my main man X!

From start to finish our experience was wonderful. Everyone that we encountered was polite and helpful. The hotel was beautiful and near everything we wanted to see and do. While it is on the expensive side, it's worth every penny and made our weekend away perfect.
