My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon at Velassaru, Maldives in 2015 and then followed up with a second visit for our anniversary. We are heading back for a third time in 2020 as this is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed at.

The staff are very attentive to your needs and requests.
The General Manager is always checking on his guests and making sure everyone is having a good time. Very good to see!

The rooms are spacious and well appointed. Modern luxury at its best.
The dining options are fantastic with many restaurants offering a variety of local and international cuisine.

My favourite is the Teppanyaki restaurant which is located at the end of a pier which gives you the most amazing views and dining experience.

Velassaru Maldives.... simply amazing!

Recently spent an amazing 8 days here at Velassaru.
My first Maldives experiences and possibly one of the most relaxing holidays I've ever had.

Aside from the pristine island setting and amazing waters (in case that's not enough to chill you out) the staff were amazing too!

Everyone was very pleasant and super attentive, without being overbearing. The GM was very attentive to all the guests needs as well. Honestly, I can't thank them enough for making my stay so enjoyable and relaxing.

Some great restaurants to choose from. A couple of great bars with funky tunes during the day as well. I was surprised by the live music each night and the calibre of the artists.

Bar staff were fun and happy to explore now cocktails... I can highly recommend the Vespar Martinis and the Basil Smash!

Took advantage of morning dives and was lucky enough to see turtles and eagle rays every dive.

The rooms (which are amazing) are kept immaculately clean throughout the day... So nice to walk in to a spotless room.

All in all I can't fault them. If this is a typical stay for a gust (and in my observations it is) then I'll definitely be back.
