The Tyrolean is a quaint, small lodge that is family owned and full of ski history. The rooms are thoughtfully cleaned and well maintained, and have new fully equipped kitchenettes. Each room comes standard with two queen beds, one twin bed and can sleep between one and five people. There are 16 hotel rooms and families choose this place in Aspen because of the price. This is a posh and expensive town, and the Tyolean Lodge offers families an affordable Aspen option. The lodge is centrally located on Aspen’s Main Street and easy walking distance to a bakery, brew pub, downtown shops, restaurants, bars, Aspen Mountain and the Music Festival. A bonus for families who want to ditch the car, there is a free skier shuttle to all four ski areas stops in front of the lodge.

We enjoyed our stay at Tyrolean lodge over Halloween weekend. There was free parking and it was walking distance to town/nightlife. Checkin has very friendly staff and free coffee. The room was clean with a kitchenette, and a comfortable bed!

I stayed at the lodge as part of a trip with friends. I was on a tight budget for this trip so I prepaid for a 1st floor room. I was nervous because of the age of the hotel. I was super surprised to the upside. Everything is dated, but also super clean. The bathroom had been updated with tile and new fixtures. There was some street noise but I used a desk fan for some white noise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lodge is located near the center of town and near shuttles, bus, shopping and restaurants. I would absolutely stay again and recommend to anyone looking for a good, clean room and great value.
