We arrived on Saturday, October 19th. Check in was a breeze. Initially, I was told the room was not ready but the front desk clerk worked it out and we were able to check in a few hours early. The staff at the bar were absolutely wonderful! The staff Karen, Mirlene snd Erica were awesome! There were really not any activities onsite. While shopping outside the resort, make sure you count how much your items cost before going to pay. A few times, they tried to overcharge but we had already added the cost of our items. We did listen to timeshare offer and were given activities to do for free as a part of our timeshare presentation. If you do a presentation, make sure you DO NOT have your paper in hand as I did. Raquel at the concierge desk saw the paper in my hand (I guess she would not get any commission for booking reservation for the activity). She was very rude and conducted a personal telephone conversation while I waited for at least 15 to 20 min. I eventually walked away without booking the activity with her; however, I walked across the street to the other resort and Tyrone Vince

I have to give Eagle Aruba a poor review this time. We had stayed at the Tropicana in 2016. The Tropicana changed its name to Eagle Aruba since then. We went back because we enjoyed our stay last time. The issue is that their listing shows nice rooms, it doesn't show any run down rooms. It also says "Newly Renovated". Our room was anything but. I will try to add photos at the end if I can figure it out. We requested the very same room we had last time. Gave them months of notice. We received the exact opposite. The room we requested was on the ground floor relatively in the center of the property. We were given a room on the 4th floor almost at the very end of the building. Then we were told a bunch of different things. We were told that there weren't any of those rooms available, but I went back online and found they were still selling those rooms. They told me that I could upgrade for $50 an night, but the amount I paid was already more than what was in the listing. So beware whomever you book through I would request a exact photo of the room you are promised. The room we had, the room we requested was "upgraded" four or more years ago, so I am not sure how long you can ride on the "Newly Upgraded" room. They are, still after at least four years still "upgrading" so make sure in advance in writing and by photo what accommodations you will receive. Unfortunately I could not figure out how to add photos sorry.
