This hotel has been one of the best I’ve stayed in. The room was very clean and spacious. I liked that the staff came by daily to clean up and switch out dirty towels. The room had 2 TVs to my children’s delight. The room had a full size refrigerator, 2 rye stove and sink. It was also stocked with plates, cups and silverware. It was more like renting a studio apartment. There were 2 pools on site and only a 2 minute walk to the beach. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay while in Fort Lauderdale.

This hotel was built in the 1950s. The rooms are clean, and there is a complete refrigerator that includes a freezer compartment, a microwave, plus a limited supply of dishes, cutlery, and cooking equipment. The bathroom is very tiny, and there is no tub, but a large shower with low water pressure.
We had a nice room upstairs, and I do mean stairs. One set of stairs is very narrow and steep. And yes, there is no elevator. I got a guy to help carry my suitcase upstairs, but I had to do the rest of the move-in myself. One big shock, is that the keys automatically reset, and when we couldn’t get into our room, there was no one in the office to help. Some people who have been there last year said the same thing happened to them. I called the main office number after about 10 minutes, and 30 minutes later someone strolled over to the office. By that time, I was covered in bug bites (Florida at dusk) because there was no place to hide. The office person showed up, and found a line of people waiting to get into their rooms and to check in. There was even a family that had flown in from Norway. (Nice way to welcome visitors to our country.). Most important reason we will never stay here again is the lack of elevators. Getting our stuff downstairs to the car was quite a trial. Getting upstairs at any time during our visit was a struggle. Unless you are under 18 and extremely fit, don’t stay here.
