Nestled in the heart of Baton Rouge but still less than a mile from I-10 and I-40, this all-suite hotel is a short drive to the downtown area and within walking distance to the Mall of Louisiana. The indoor swimming pool is a great place for the kids to play and splash and let go of some energy. Chairs surrounded the pool deck and pool towels are provided. Parents can unwind at the fitness center where there are cardio and weight machines available. The studio suite features a queen bed and sitting area with a sleeper sofa and the fully equipped kitchen features a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, oven and plenty of cookware and dishwasher. The one-bedroom suites feature a king bed and a separate living room area along with the same stupid suite amenities and the two-bedroom suites a king bed in one bedroom and a queen bed in the other, along with a separate living room area and the same amenities. Families can also enjoy free hot buffet breakfast and free Wi-Fi at this pet friendly hotel.

Marriott hotels are generally my go
To. For a TownePlace Suites I was a little surprised. The buildings (there are 2) are
Definitely older. 2 maybe 3 floors. The room definitely had what we needed but looked old and run down. I got the feeling that TownePlace took this hotel over
From somebody else- usually they seem modern, well maintained with a classy business feel. This location felt more long term rental with nobody to impress. Breakfast was included and it
Was your standard breakfast - so
I can’t really complain. Doubtful that I would stay here again

I have never been to a hotel where the entire desk staff was rude. We called the hotel at 12pm and asked if we could check into our room 30 minutes earlier than check-in time, but if not there was no problem. The woman working the desk on June 1st was very short and ill tempered and curtly explained that she didn't have a room assigned for us yet and that checking in a half hour early was a huge inconvenience. We said thats not an issue and we would wait. When we showed up there was no one behind the desk and we had to wait for one of the cleaning staff (who was VERY friendly) to find the person working the desk. When we got to our room, there were no sheets on one of the beds. We called down to the front desk and the woman working the evening shift huffed LOUDLY into the phone and told us that she couldn't bring us sheets for a while. Again, we said this was no problem and that we wouldn't be back until after midnight so she had HOURS to complete this task. We get back to our room at 4am and there are still no sheets. I always stay at the Marriott and I have never been in a hotel where the desk staff was so unprofessional, lazy, and rude. The cleaning staff were the friendliest people we met there so perhaps the manager should consider giving them a promotion because they seem to be the only ones concerned with customer service. I will never stay in this hotel again and will be considering other hotel companies for future stays.
