Overview

Located in Lead, South Dakota, the Town Hall Inn offers families a historic place to stay — the Inn is on the National Register of Historic Places. There are just 12 suites, but all come with the comforts of home, such as microwaves, mini-fridges and free Wi-Fi. King and queen beds are available and the largest suites can sleep up to four.

Local attractions include the Black Hills Mining Museum, the Historic Homestake Opera House and the Homestake Mine. Seasonal activities are also nearby, such as skiing and snowmobiling.

Fuel up with a complimentary continental breakfast daily at the Inn before heading out for the day. There is no onsite restaurant for lunch or dinner, but local, kid-friendly restaurants include Spankies Cafe and Toddy Boy’s.

Best trip to South Dakota

Very nice place to stay. Bedrooms are beautiful and very comfortable. The owner and staff are very friendly and will help you to the best place to see and eat. It is only 3 miles to Deadwood. Lots of things to do for couples and family. Must better than a hotel or a cabin. Keep in mind if you stay on the second floor you have to walk up stairs. No problem for us.

Great overnight stay in Lead. Friendly manager with great customer service. Big rooms, huge ceilings, lots of character. We liked staying there in the quiet of Lead vs Deadwood, which is just 5-10 min drive away. Would stay there again!
