Overview

Because it’s located right on popular St. Jean Beach, it could be easy to overlook the innate charms of Toms Beach Hotel. A large pool often sits empty, as guests gravitate to the turquoise waters, white sand and variety of watersports available at the hotel’s doorstep.
La Plage, the hotel restaurant, is set right on the beach, so you can dine with your feet in the sand. It’s also a fun place to hang out, especially on theme party nights when a live band or DJ is on hand. The vibe is young and spirited, with a casual elegance.

The small boutique hotel offers 10 rooms, some with enclosed garden patios or terraces, set in a tropical garden. Two additional rooms, each with a private sundeck, look out on the bay. Simple, yet elegant rooms are decorated with natural materials and come equipped with ceiling fans, flat-screen TV’s, DVD players and a mini-bar.

Overall good for the price

The location of the hotel is best. The staff at the reception provide you a 5 star service right from the point you book with them to making sure to arrange a pick up and drop off, serving champagne on arrival, dropping the luggage in your room, speaking to voyager ferry as we wanted to extend our stay. The room was good but needed a bit of maintenance as could smell sewage. The restaurant prices are very expensive and quantity very little. Such prices are ok if the service and qualify is 5 star by Michelin star chef. The taste was ok not that great for the price and the manager at restaurant got upset and angry as at first just ordered a salad while my husband was deciding his menu and also it didn’t have lot of vegetarian menu so I wasn’t sure and took a little longer to order food. We also saw unhappy customers sending food back and also had to go to billing counter to pay as they were too slow. The restaurant is right on the beach so location is stunning and bar is brilliant but avoid restaurant food.

Loved this hotel. Beautiful beach, amazing views, great service from the front desk to the staff at the restaurant. Everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcomed. The restaurant is excellent. Fresh MahiMahi — great drinks. My room was right on the beach so I lucked out. I think this hotel really exceeded my expectations. The free breakfast was awesome. I’ll be back.
