We were in Peru for 10 days, Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu and in every city we stayed at the Tierra Viva hotels. All of them were great, very clean, amazin customer service.
I wish there are more Tierra Viva hotel's in another places besides Peru.

The hotel is very clean and very well located in a quiet location. The only thing you hear is the Urubamba river which definitely adds some charm. Prior to the stay we heard about the apparently exceptional breakfast buffet, which then was only average. The hotel and staff is also quite touristic. We said we didn’t need pick-up at the train station, but were awaited anyway. We were also told at the train station that we could check in earlier as requested, but found out at the reception that a 2hr early check in would cost 45USD. We would have preferred honesty from the start and found that behaviour very unprofessional. Just say from the beginning it’s not possible or only against charge, which is fine.
What’s nice is the 24h offer of free tea in the lobby.
So in the end I’d recommend the place, as I believe there are not a lot of qualitative places in town. but don’t expect an place to remember.
