Getting a kid to wear a helmet can be a struggle. You finally find one that fits (kind of well) and has your kid’s favorite character on it, so you buy it, only to pinch their skin in the helmet strap clasp and have them fight you by putting it on every time. Then, six months later, your kid has deemed the character on the old helmet “babyish” and you have to buy a new helmet. Sound familiar?
Adult-favorite helmet brand Thousand is here to solve all those problems with the launch of their Thousand Jr. line. This thoughtfully designed kids/junior line is made to fit ages 5-11. To create the new line, Thousand interviewed and fit-tested more than 100 kids to develop a helmet that young ones will actually want to wear.
The helmets come in stylish hues of kid-favorite colors (pink, blue, green, and a sparkly silver), and each purchase includes a pack of reflective stickers that kids can use to customize their helmet. The stickers are removable and reusable, and extra packs are available for purchase so kids can change up their look as often as they like.
Unlike other helmets, the Thousand Jr. ones will fit your kids for years, as they feature a built-in dial-fit system that allows you to adjust the helmet for a perfect fit.
The Thousand Jr. helmets have the same ultra-comfortable, vegan leather straps as the adult helmets (with the same easy-to-use, no-pinch magnetic buckle). The kids’ helmet also has six large vents on the top for extra airflow.
In addition to the helmets, the new line includes junior-sized bike bells designed to complement all of the helmet colors.
