Opened in 2018, The Lodge at Gulf State Park offers beachfront accommodations that can’t be beat. Guestrooms are equipped with one king or two queen beds, and some guestrooms have bunk beds for kids. Suites feature private balconies and private bedrooms with one king bed; some suites have sleeper sofas in the living area, while others have bunk beds.
The hotel has two sophisticated, yet family-friendly onsite restaurants; a coffee and wine bar; a pool bar and grill (yes, there’s an outdoor swimming pool at this hotel!); and room service. Kids’ menus, kids’ programming, family packages, cribs, and highchairs are available for families.

As you pull up for check in I recommend valet parking as returning to the hotel is a bit of a walk/maze. We self parked, but the valet was very polite and greeted us. The check in process was super simple and everyone was very friendly. They told us the lay of the land. We walked from the parking lot (West side) to the hotel room (East side). This gave us a great tour of all the amenities. I imagine in summer it must be full and thriving! We entered our room which was clean, with a beautiful beach, and balcony view! We ordered in room dining off the late menu Pork Belly, 2 mason jar deserts, and 2 cokes. Not great food. Beds were comfy, bathroom was spacious, the balcony view just made it all worthwhile! A pier leads from the pool area to the beach which was super convenient as its close to the hotel elevators! We really enjoyed it and its just far enough away from the noise of the strip to feel private. I will definitely visit again.

I selected a room across from my sisters room when I checked in online and was moved to a room much further away because they checked someone else into my room.
It was a hassle to walk all around the hotel to visit with my family
