What began as a golf club in 2008 has expanded to a year-round resort that features a resort-style pool, a sports center and multiple onsite restaurants. Located about 10 minutes outside of downtown Bend, Oregon, and less than 10 minutes from Mount Bachelor Ski Village, this is an excellent resort for families looking to be close to everything.

The accommodations feature a ski chalet-feel and even feature mud rooms in the entry way so ski or mountain bike equipment has a place. Onsite, five-bedroom vacation rentals are also available and all guests can enjoy the many amenities that Tetherow Lodge offers.

The hotel features 50 guestrooms, plus there are several multi-bedroom vacation rentals onsite. Connecting and pet-friendly rooms are available. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi can be found throughout the resort.

A mud room-like entry way greets guests at the door of the guestrooms and suites with plenty of storage for ski or mountain bike equipment. A balcony or patio can be found in most rooms as well.

Guestrooms

The spacious guestrooms feature one king or two queen beds and a leather sleeper sofa in the same room. Electric outlets can also be found by the bed. There is a gas fireplace, flat-screen television, a mini-fridge, coffeemaker, microwave and sink in the wet bar area. The bathroom features a stand-up shower and some guestrooms also feature a soaking tub as well.

Suites

The one-bedroom suites, which can sleep six, feature two queen beds in a separate bedroom area and a leather sleeper sofa in a living room area with a gas fireplace. Two flat-screen televisions are featured with a smart panel for electronic hook ups. Electric outlets can also be found by the bed. There is a mini-fridge, coffeemaker, microwave and sink in the wet bar area. The bathroom features a stand-up shower.

Vacation Rentals

The four- and five-bedroom rentals are individually owned, but rented through the resort. Vacation rental guests are welcome to use all of the amenities the lodge has to offer. The rentals feature fully equipped kitchens, four or five bathrooms, an outdoor patio and fire pit and plenty of space for families.

Tetherow Sport

The expansive, two-story fitness center features cardio and weight machines, plus an aerobic room with multiple fitness classes and an additional yoga studio. The large windows in the workout rooms offer amazing mountain views during your workout. Lockers, a steam room, sauna and the cafe can also be found here. Gym towels are provided. The Sport building is open from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Pool

The heated outdoor pool is open year-round from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The resort-style pool is surrounded by lounge chairs and umbrellas on the patio, which overlooks the mountains. Cabanas are also available to rent and there are two fire pits to be enjoyed at night. There are restrooms, lockers and a family changing area situated steps away from the pool; pool towels are provided.

Golf

The whole family can enjoy time at the onsite 18-hole, semi-private golf course. A Junior PGA Program is offered in the warmer months for kids, and there is a Golf Academy.

Ski, Bike, Hike

Mountain biking and hiking trails surround the lodge and Mount Bachelor Ski Village is located less than 10 minutes away.

Solomon's

This fine dining restaurant is located in the Club House and serves dinner only. Things like elk, seafood and vegetarian options are available here. Children are welcome here, but they will need to be on their best behavior. Solomon's opens at 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

The Row

The more family-friendly, casual option is The Row, also found in the Club House. The Row has a pub-vibe with flat-screen televisions and large windows overlooking the golf course. The Row is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Local craft beers are always on tap and there is a kids' menu available.

Cafe

The Cafe is located in the Sport building and open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Guests can find things like smoothies, sandwiches, salads and coffee drinks in the cafe. Grab and go options are also available here.

This lodge is a year-round vacation destination; however, it is busiest from about Memorial Day through to September and October.

Getting There

The Bend-Redmond Municipal Airport is about 30 minutes away from this resort. Downtown Bend is situated about 10 minutes away and Mount Bachelor Ski Village is less than 10 minutes away.

Getting Around

Located among the mountains, a vehicle is needed if staying here. A shuttle service is available to take guests to downtown Bend at no additional cost or to the airport for an additional cost. The lodge itself is easily walkable and a stroller works well, as most of the walking areas are paved or have sidewalks.

The Club House
Golf lovers and those seeking a great view can enjoy the Club House, which overlooks the gorgeous golf course and mountains. Grab a cocktail, sit in a cozy chair by the fireplace or enjoy the sun on the outdoor patio at The Club House. There is also a fire pit outside and the Pro Shop is located here.
