For a unique desert experience, a stay in the quaint cabins of Terlingua Ranch Lodge makes for a memorable family vacation. Each cabin is divided into two guestrooms that include two beds, full bath, heating, air conditioning, writing table, dresser, and a shared deck. A bigger family can book the entire cabin to sleep up to eight people. There’s no TV or phone service, but Wi-Fi is available throughout the grounds. The large outdoor pool is definitely a surprise in the desert, and includes a cabana patio, fire ring and large BBQ pit, making it a real oasis for you to return to after a day of exploring Big Bend National Park. The Lodge has its own restaurant, Bad Rabbit, that serves hearty home-cooked dishes from scratch at breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week. Your only other options for meals are 30 miles away in the town of Terlingua
Terlingua Ranch Lodge is located in Southwestern Texas on the edge of Big Bend National Park. The nearest towns to the lodge are Alpine, 70 miles to the north, and Terlingua, which is a convenient stop if you’re on your way to one of the three visitor’s centers of the National Park. You’ll find several family-friendly restaurants in Terlingua, as well as a small grocery store and gas station to prepare for a day in the park. Terlingua is also home to tour companies that will set your family up on guided rafting, horseback riding, and hiking trips. It’s the perfect starting point for the scenic vistas, diverse wildlife, and historic sites of Big Bend. Very friendly staff. The rooms were fine, nothing fancy, but of course that’s not why you come here. Bed was comfortable. It is very secluded at the end of a 16 mile road, which is an annoyingly long drive when you’re excited to go to Big Bend or on your way back to the cabin after a long day. The food is okay, definitely over priced but where else are you going to go? Views of the night sky are absolutely incredible.

Very peaceful quiet duplex style cabins nothing fancy but rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Off the beaten path. The cafe is good staff is very friendly and has a wealth of knowledge. It’s far from anything else but hey that’s big bend! Everything is far away. Enjoyed our stay
