This collection of six loft suites on the second and third floors of Teermans department store is one of the more clever accommodation choices in Holland, Michigan (or anywhere in the U.S.for that matter). Teermans is one of the oldest family owned, single-location department stores in the country and the repurposing of the upper floors into chic, modern and luxurious guestrooms provides an exciting place for families to stay while visiting the city.
All of the rooms (each with a full kitchen and anywhere from 600 to 1000 square feet of space) have either a sleeper sofa or an inflatable mattress (available upon request) to accommodate children comfortably.

When we visit family in Holland MI Teerman Lofts is our preferred property. The location on 8th Street is ideal for shopping, dining, people watching and being in the midst of activity.
Teerman Lofts is exceptionally clean and well appointed. Furnishings are contemporary and comfortable. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prep breakfast or warm up leftovers from dining.
We stayed here with two of our young grandkids. They adored the property proclaiming it the BEST hotel ever. Which says so much as they stay at the deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World and beachside cottages or high end resorts on vacations.
An independently owned and operated property managed efficiently and in the most professional manner.
We will always choose Teerman Lofts for our visits to Holland Michigan.

Loved our weekend girls trip stay here! Our suite Superior was 2BR 1 BTH, very lovely, comfortable, and in a great location... Our Beautiful unit, furniture and decorations, had a well appointed kitchen should you want to stay in and cook. Great to have a parking spot behind the building as it's quite busy around here.
The only issues were: long flights of stairs w/o elevators (we had a cooler & luggage) ; paper thin walls so you can hear snoring in the other room, and another unit occupant knocking our door asking us to be quiet at 10pm on Saturday evening because they were sleeping (we were only watching Family Feud and laughing at some of the answers)... so we turned volume way down and couldn't hear very well, so had to sit up close to the TV. Also, as the A/C was on in the unit and we were a little too cold coming in from the rain & in the 50's outside, someone turned on the heat but had set it to low 70's. The unit became unbearably hot making it impossible to sleep. We kept lowering the temp but to no avail. Finally turned on ceiling fans to high to rest a little.
Enjoy a lovely stay packing light, getting a lesson on how to use the heating/AC, and be very quiet is the motto here!
