If the thought of Spring Break fills you with dread (so much time to fill while stuck at home), Intrepid Urban Adventures, (the day tour arm of the group tour operator Intrepid Travel) has a solution for you.
The company just launched Urban Adventures at Home for Families, a collection of family-friendly virtual tours and activities that will let you feel like you’re escaping the house, even though you’re just streaming from your living room.
These small group experiences are hosted by Intrepid’s local guides and their children from their homes all around the world, and were specifically launched to help support guides who were out of work due to the pandemic.
Choose from creative activities like a Frida Kahlo watercolor painting class in Mexico City or a culinary adventure like the fruit pierogi cooking class in Krakow.
The classes are designed for both adults and kids aged 6 and up to enjoy. The experiences are free for up to three kids per household to join—you’ll just need to purchase one adult ticket. The ticket prices are extremely affordable, starting at just $19.
Looking for a unique way to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion? You can also book a private group adventure for a larger group.
Urban Adventures also has a number of adults-only classes and activities to choose from, if you’re looking for date-night inspiration or a remote way to hang out with your adult kids. See all of their classes here.
