A reasonable price for a reasonable motel

Friendly staff. The rooms are a bit small but adequate--but it's quite easy to hear people next door/above you/outside. Walking distance to all that downtown Bancroft has to offer. Good for a quick trip.

Like being transported back to the worst part of 1975

We booked online through their website in advance to find that the walk in rate was $20 less and they refused to reduce our rate.

Some good things:
- fairly clean
- central location

Bad things:
- horribly out of date facility
- they request that you remove your shoes upon entering the main lobby
- very poorly maintained .... like a poorly trained handy man did the work
- the facility appears to have been expanded a number of times with no overall design
- the staff are just plain rude and condescending
- the continental breakfast is ridiculous and ends at 9 30

Overall, this is a story about an owner that has under invested and under values his or her customer base. There are lots of boutique hotels and other options in the area ... I suggest you consider them prior to the Sword.
