The posh property is convenient to LaGuardia Airport, less than 5 miles away, and also close to Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and The American Museum of Natural History. Of course, it’s also near a plethora of delicious New York City restaurants. You can dine onsite at Cafe Boulud, as well, which serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and on weekends, brunch. It’s best for families with teens, and reservations are highly recommended.

Other perks at this luxurious New York City hotel include a top-notch spa, rooftop garden (private), fitness center and bike rentals to explore the Big Apple. Guestrooms with two queen beds are available for families, and pets are welcome in selection accommodations for a one-time, non-refundable fee of $150. Plus, dogs receive plush beds and food and water bowls!

Great Hotel! 5 STARS!

Great location close to Central Park. Staff was super professional and friendly greeting me every morning as I left for the day and when I returned back from my daily activities.

Concierge recommendations were all spot on for food and activities. Even gave us complimentary 3 day passes for the Met museum which is within walking distance along w several other museums and attractions.

Beds were very comfortable w multiple pillow options. Which is nice!

Blackout shades make it easy to sleep in if you’d like.

Rooftop bar has an excellent view of the city and is private so it doesn’t get too crowded.

I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a hotel in NYC.

poor customer service

I have stayed at the Surrey many times, w asked for a late check out (1:45) so we could go enjoy a lunch and was told only till 1 pm was the best they could do. I explained that we did not arrive until 10 pm the eve before after a long travel day and wanted a relaxing day after....she seemed to not care. There are so many other options in the this area and would not stay at the Surrey again.
