We bought time at Fisherman's about 20 years ago. As is typical, we were over promised and did not check all the details. That is on us, and we accepted it when we finally figured it all out. We would take our family every year and loved it.
Some years ago, they began an effort to drive older owners out. Loud music over the pool area, loud 'games' at all hours. That was still ok, as the location is wonderful and the regular staff quite nice. The management is trying to get rid of owners because they can no longer make money off of us. They want hotel renters because there is no place to expand the resort.
Our last visit was 5 years ago. As usual, we had to go through the sales pitch to buy some other Sunset property before we could check into our promised waterfront unit. This time, the woman was so annoyed with us that she switched our room. It did take us a few days to realize we has been moved to a unit for staff on the non-water side. She continued to be insanely rude to us whenever we encountered her and seemed to have a 'pal' in the young guy at the desk. In addition, everyone got sick.
My family gave up on Fisherman's, but I am determined to return and be treated with the courtesy and respect we became accustomed to so many years back. after all, we *are* owners.
By the way, I selected December 18 because they limit the choices of dates.
