We enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Room was really nice. Tho I did not enjoy the shower. The staff was super friendly. I’ve never received so many text from a hotel checking on my stay. The breakfast area was over looking the water and was one of the nicer rooms I’ve seen at a hotel. It was busy in there and offerings were slim but it served it purpose. I would love to return in the summer but hear prices increase incredibly. I was happy with my fall deal tho.

Sugar Beach Hotel has a lot to offer. Our room was comfortable and clean. The location is nice, as this hotel is located on Traverse Bay. We enjoyed sitting outside on the deck, looking at the gorgeous views of the water. This hotel is not far from downtown, where there is much to see and do.
The only part we did not appreciate was that the lounge chairs that are available for guests outside were all too dirty to use. Not one was clean enough to sit on, even with a towel. The hotel should get all new lounge chairs or have them professionally cleaned, as that detracted from our experience.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay, especially the scenery and the attention given to us as guests by the staff. They checked in with us regularly to see how we were doing. That was a special touch, and something we had not experienced before. It was really nice to receive a text from the front desk, asking if there was anything we needed to make our stay even better!
