We stayed at Strawberry Hill on our way from Portland to Bar Harbor. It was a perfect mid-point location that allowed a full day of coastal lighthouse visits on our way north. The Inn is situated on a beautiful property that overlooks a calm sea cove. All the rooms have nice balconies that view the water. The rooms are very well appointed, very clean, and very comfortable. I especially liked many of the "little touches" in the room that were reminiscent of the old-school, owner-operated motels that were so common in the 70s when I was a kid. It's a short drive to Rockland where there are many restaurants and opportunities for boat excursions. Before we left the area, we visited the Owls Head lighthouse and Camden Hills State Park. The Strawberry Hill Seaside Inn was a perfect stop on our way to Acadia.

We followed TA reviews to find this gem. The rooms are large and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful - made some good eating recommendations, too! The location is between towns with no immediate walking to shops or dining. But the drives to were just a few minutes. You can walk to the coastline or swim in the heated pool. We would be happy to stay there again.
