Let me start by saying I use to enjoy this location when I first started staying here. The hotel was clean, staff was courteous and capable, and my rooms were clean and comfortable. As the years have gone on, I guess as to be expected, the level of quality at this Staybridge location has gone downhill. I liked to stay here because the location is close to my elderly mother, and it was just a well-managed hotel overall. But, recently, our past two visits have been disappointing. On a visit we made in April, upon arriving to the hotel room, my husband noticed there was blood in the bath/shower area. We notified the management who promptly cleaned it, and kindly gave us some bonus points as compensation. Fine. However, this most recent visit is what finished this location for me. I had made my reservation well-over a month in advance for a 1-bedroom suite with two queen beds, as I was traveling with my sister and three smaller kids. After driving for hours from California, when we went to check-in, we were told that our room had been given away, and the only room available to us was a standard room with a king bed. What were we supposed to do? Cram ourselves into one bed, ala Charlie and the Chocolate Factory family-style? Sorry, but we weren't about to play sleep Tetris. In addition to the change of accommodations, the front desk informed me that the room with the King bed was only available for one night anyway--my original reservation was for TWO nights. After speaking to the manager, the poor gal at the front desk basically shrugged and said there was nothing that could be done. It's not her fault management screwed up.
I was never informed at any time previous to the stay of the room change via phone, email or text. They just took the liberty of completely screwing up my accommodations--no big deal! Not the surprise I needed after making the trip from LA to Utah with kids in tow. Needless to say, we left and didn't stay at this hotel during this trip. I don't plan on staying here ever again. What a joke. Hyatt House in Sandy was able to accommodate us quickly that same night, and their hotel is much nicer, and their staff are worlds more competent.

We stayed one night after a flight in to SLC prior to leaving for the National Parks. For our family of 5, we had 2 Queen beds and a Queen sleeper sofa. The room was huge compared to typical rooms in this price range and was plenty for my family of 5, with kids ranging 10 - 15. We didn't get to use the pool, but did go take a look. It's very small, but looks very nice and has several firepits with comfy seating. The hotel lobby and rooms are well appointed and very clean. Highly recommended!
