As far as resorts go, Star Island is the total package — nice accommodations and fun family-friendly activities. Guests stay in classy, sophisticated suites with modern furnishings, kitchens and private patios. Families can choose to stay in a mini, one-bedroom or three-bedroom suite. Plenty of activities are available at the resort. Families can spend some quality time at the two pools. Lake Cecile frames the resort, presenting jet skiing and fishing opportunities. There are nine tennis courts, a putting green and a driving range on the grounds. Get some hot dogs at the poolside stand. For sit-down meals, TGI Fridays is at the resort’s entrance. Best of all, Disney World is only a few minutes away.

This was my 6th stay here and the 1st and only time I've had regrets. First I reserved a 3 bedroom and got my confirmation only to get another confirmation the day before arrival with my reservation changed to a 1 bedroom. I call the hotel immediately and they have me email the front desk a copy of my confirmation and tell me they fixed the mistake. When I arrived the next day I ask the check in agent Svetlana if the reservation says 3 bedroom she says yes as she quickly takes my card. She assigns me a villa and send me to the sales pitch the force you to endure for a parking pass. While he's talking I notice the key she gives me only says villa B when a 3 bedroom should be A and B. I go back to her and she says no your reservation is a 1 bedroom. I had to go through the process of emailing my confirmation again then stand there another 15 mins while she tries to find something wrong with it. After not finding anything wrong she assigns me a 3 bedroom which was the most awful villa we have ever received. The appliances were old and chipped. the toilet seat in the master bedroom was only connected on one side so it wobbled. And the master bedroom, kitchen, and living room was smaller than any of the other villas we've stayed in. I felt I was being punished for their mistake. Highly doubt we will ever use them again.

Resort was loud at night. The people on the balcony below us constantly smoked marijuana and we could smell it all the time. Bathrooms need updating. Had to stay in a villa on the fourth floor as that was the only building with elevators. I am 74 years old and cannot walk up several flights of stairs.
Would not stay there again.
