Noisy room but engaged staff

For the type, price and self-positioning of the hotel I expect more.

Yes, location is great, breakfast is adequate, staff is helpful and engaged but be aware rooms on the backside (e.g. 511) are very noisy till around 11pm due to a kitchen ventilation system - no go!!

In addition there were some temporary hick ups today, e.g. the rooms I received the keys were not empty - because the system was updated; yes, it is temporary but should not happen.

I want to truly thank the St James Team for a wonderful stay!

In addition to my business trip, my wife and I celebrated our anniversary.

After a casual mention upon check-in, we returned to the room after dinner and to our surprise it was romantically decorated, without even requesting it!

I really love this place. The front desk, housekeeping, room service, and concierge are all first class.

A true gem.
