Mount Pleasant, South Carolina sits about nine-miles from Charleston proper and was once a summer playground for Charleston’s wealthy. Brimming in beautiful parks, festivals galore, and historical sites, we get why Mount Pleasant made it onto so many best-places-to-live lists.
Sitting just four miles to the Historic Charleston City Market (walkable to the aquarium, Children’s Museum of the Low Country and the Waterfront Park) and at the base of the Ravenel Bridge is the SpringHill Suites Charleston Mount Pleasant.
This all-suites hotel offers spacious one king or two queen suites. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV, a microwave, a mini-fridge and a pullout sofa. The king sleeps four (five with a rollaway) and the double queen sleeps five.
Guests receive a complimentary hot breakfast each morning, free Wi-Fi, and free parking. The property has a pretty outdoor pool, a fitness room and coin-operated laundry.

It was a Saturday night and we were at a Hampton Inn in Mount Pleasant, the hotel smelled of smoke and mold. Instead of moving rooms they offered a refund, however it was 1030 pm and a lot of hotels were sold out. That's when we called this hotel and got our angel Christopher! He got us a room and we explained it was our 1 night away from our daughter and he even had a bottle of wine for us waiting when we checked in. This hotel was soooo clean, SMELLED GREAT, and Christopher was a gem. You made Marriott members out of us! My wife and I never fill these out but this warranted some recognition as you dont find customer service like this everyday.

Do NOT reserve at this hotel if there is any chance that weather may be an issue or a possibility that you may need to cancel. They refused to refund me for a night that we were not there due to Tropical Storm Nestor on October 18, 2019. I called the hotel as soon as our baseball events were canceled and I was told I would not be charged. They did charge me for a night. $255 for a night we were not there. They were very difficult to deal with. I spoke to the Director of Sales and attempted to speak to the manager, but no success with that. This is for the Springhill Suites on Magrath Darby Blvd in Mt. Pleasant. There are lots of options of hotels in the Charleston area that would be more accommodating. I highly recommend NOT to use this hotel.
