Overview
by Amanda Geronikos
The Sheraton on the Falls is one of the most coveted hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario. It provides spectacular views of the famed attraction (don’t forget your camera), and is so close, the roar of the falls can be heard from many guestrooms. The hotel is conveniently situated on Clifton Hill, a hub for attractions and restaurants.
While the location is the hotel’s main draw, Sheraton on the Falls rolls out the red carpet for families, with plenty of onsite or nearby dining options, spacious guestrooms with mini-fridges, free Wi-Fi, pools and a private walkway to Fallsview Indoor Waterpark. If you’re traveling with grandma and grandpa, they’ll appreciate a private walkway to their own play land — Casino Niagara.

I can't say enough about the Sheraton on the Falls,Canada. My wife and I spent the greatest Anniversary we could ever ask for. It was extremely important to us to celebrate our 50th year. Everyone at the Sheraton went above and beyond to make sure it would be an unforgettable experience. From the time we drove up to the day we left everything was perfect. If there's a higher rating than 5 stars, they deserve it.

The Art of Smart Timing
Sheraton on the Falls bustles with excitement throughout the year, particularly in the summer months, when rates -- even for the most basic rooms -- are highest. You'll pay a pretty penny no matter when you visit, but consider a visit in September, October, April or May to avoid some of the crowds.
Getting There
Sheraton on the Falls is located 45 minutes to an hour from Buffalo Niagara International Airport, with traffic factored in. Expect to pay $4.50 in tolls -- a $1 toll in New York, and then a toll of $3.50 to cross Rainbow Bridge to Canada.
Getting Around
The hotel is so close to Niagara Falls that it doesn't make sense to drive. It's also located on Clifton Hill, putting several restaurants and attractions within reasonable walking distance. If you plan to visit the Skylon Tower, you'll want to drive, and parking is available for $10 there.
For Mom and Dad
Guests of the hotel receive free beer tastings at Niagara Brewing Company, just around the corner. Taste a few beers before ordering a whole pint, along with small plates such as a cheeseboard and soft pretzel duo. The atmosphere is casual, so kids can come along.
There's plenty to do right at the hotel, too. Visit the Christienne Fallsview Spa for a relaxing massage or wrap before heading to dinner at Windows by Jamie Kennedy, where locally sourced ingredients are featured in innovate entrees that include Candied Nut Crusted Ontario Lamb Shank and Sweet Potato Crusted Atlantic Salmon. The restaurant also offers an extensive wine list. Be sure to make a reservation well in advance. If you don't want to be away from the kids, try the hotel's social hour, hosted between 5 and 6 p.m. daily. Local wines are served for a small fee.
