I'd planned a weekend trip to Montreal the weekend of Nov 9-10 for my husband's birthday, to see a hockey game at Centre Bell stadium. I am a longtime Platinum member with Starwood/now Marriott Bonvoy because of work travel. I just picked the closest hotel to the stadium (one block of walking).
The week before arrival, their service manager reached out to me over email to offer assistance planning my visit. I mentioned the occasion and that it was our first trip to Montreal, and asked for some suggestions for food and sights in the Old Montreal neighborhood.
She connected me to the concierge, who sent me a list of restaurants and attractions in the Old Montreal area, and provided estimates for walking and cab modes of transit (we opted for the 10 minute cab ride). We chose Parliament Pub and Parlor for brunch and the food was amazing. I had a toasted oat soup with edible flower garnishes, lemon zest, a little oil drizzle--a foodie heaven. My husband had fish & chips, which he enjoyed very much. We walked around the VERY charming Old Montreal area for a couple of hours. Mother Nature graced us with some flurries, but it wasn't too cold.
We went back to the hotel to rest up before the hockey game, and room service delivered a complimentary plate of pastries with "Happy Birthday" inscribed on the plate, a large bottle of Perrier, and a bottle of wine. Wow. So unexpected and generous (and delicious). It's that kind of delight that keeps me loyal to this brand.
And the beds were comfortable as you'd expect from a Sheraton, plenty of pillows, and the service from everyone at the hotel was welcoming and kind. It's very endearing how they say "Bonjour, Hello" every time you enter the lobby so you can pick the language to respond with.

We spent the weekend enjoying this hotel. We were met by friendly staff. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I want to especially thank Samantha who went out of her way to make us feel welcome.
The location is perfect as it is a short walk to old Montreal or to the shopping district. We would definitely choose this hotel again.
