We chose to stay at the Shanti Residence as we wanted total rest and relaxation for the start of our holiday, and we were pleased this is exactly what we got. The residence is located some distance from central Nusa Dua, access is via a road full of pot holes that initially had us a little concerned! However once you arrive at the Villa's there's a sense of arrival and peace and tranquility.
There are only seven Villa's at the property itself, and this creates a real sense of exclusivity. Our room was beautifully laid out, and very spacious. We loved having breakfast on our balcony in the morning; we enjoyed the cooling breezes coming in form the ocean; we relaxed swimming in the pool and the food was lovely. Service was top notch; nothing was too much to ask for, and we were made to feel like treasured guests from the very helpful staff.
The residence supplies a free shuttle into Nusa Dua and trips elsewhere are available for a set price.
The only downside was the hot water pressure; taking a bath was not really an option due to the water just dribbling out.
