The Shakespeare Inn is a family run hotel with a European sentimentality. It's clean but dated and small. The rooms are based on occupancy so in some cases you may have a room with a queen bed and a single bed. The bathrooms are very small but clean. The rooms do have fridges but you should check that it's plugged in as ours was not. The microwave is not in-suite but in a common area with the ice machine and coffee station. There is no place to really commune with other guests who maybe staying with you in the hotel and because the rooms are so small, it's very tight. There is a gazebo outside but not ideal when the bugs come out. For a family of four and the price, there are better options closer to Stratford for the same price. The breakfast offered, toast, yogurt, cookies, apples and tea/coffee. When you register, you get an actual key, so don't lose it because they only have one. Our key wouldn't open the back door where we parked so we had to travel through the hotel to lug our bags upstairs. There is no elevator. Wifi was non- existent, TV only offered one channel at 30 second intervals. Beds were ok but for the price not great. Again, lovely family running hotel, but it's pricey for what you get.
