Can't recommend this hotel to anyone - sorry

by Gene S

If you want to stay in a place that reminds you of a rundown hotel that is in desperate need of a bull dozing so the property can be used for a real boutique hotel you have come to the right place.

Feels like the original owners from the 20s are still trying to hang on to the 20s.

Historic is like charming when you read a description and neither mean good.

I'm not sure you can find "charming" anywhere else so if that's your cup of tea, go for it, but don't say you haven't been warned.

Great value, newly renovated,

by loveroftravel30

We needed a hotel near Washington University and we found this newly renovated property at a great price via TripAdvisor.

The room was well renovated, a great bed and those cool Japanese toilet. For the price, the room was especially nice.

The lobby is still under renovation, but the quality of the rooms make this property worth it.

Only issues, there was never anyone at the front desk so check in and out is slow.

Included in our rate was breakfast. It included made to order omelette, but expect a simple breakfast with limited options. But hey, it’s free!
