The Seldovia Boardwalk Hotel is a small family-run hotel on the waterfront of this historic town. All 14 rooms were recently renovated and updated, with many of them giving you picture-postcard views of Seldovia Bay. These clean, contemporary rooms are ideal for a small family, with two double beds and space for a crib. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, coffeemaker and satellite TV. There’s also a new onsite restaurant, The Boardwalk Pub & Grill, which has quickly become a popular eatery in town for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There are several other restaurants along the waterfront, as well as a grocery store.
The hotel is a short distance from the ferry dock, where most visitors to Seldovia arrive via the fast ferry from Homer. After checking in, walk down the street to the Seldovia Museum and Visitor’s Center to learn about the area and its native peoples. Kids will love the interactive wildlife exhibits. Pick up a free berry-picking permit here, as you’ll soon discover wild berries growing all around town. From the hotel, it’s a five-minute walk to the Otter Bahn Trail trailhead, a mile-long dirt path that winds through old growth spruce forest to Outside Beach, a popular place to enjoy a picnic and explore tide pools. Back in town, you can rent bikes and kayaks, hire a fishing charter, or take a guided boat tour to hike glacier trails in nearby Kachemak Bay State Park. Its central location and family-friendly rooms make the Seldovia Boardwalk Hotel an ideal stay for your big Alaskan vacation.

I came with some friends for a 2 night stay. I had no idea what I was going to enjoy! What an amazing place. The hotel sits RIGHT on the water and the views are beyond spectacular. We had a water view, but even the town side of the hotel has amazing mountain and town views. There is a gorgeous deck to enjoy your breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails on! Truly a JEWEL in Alaska. The food at the restaurant is beyond expectations with fresh ingredients and creative offerings. Seldovia is a short ferry or plane ride from Homer and a world away from the hustle of any size town. Even a day trip to Seldovia, with lunch at the hotel would be a spectacular way to spend the day. There are a couple of sweet gift shops, hiking a short walk away from the hotels, and just a great, relaxing vibe. Come here to kayak, hike, relax, enjoy friends, and get away from it all!

I just spent the last two weeks at the Boardwalk Hotel in Seldovia. I had a great room which happened to have a small kitchen. The staff as well as owners at the hotel were very friendly, an$ helpful. I enjoyed the meals I had there, and getting to know some of the other people staying there. I would recommend it to anyone needing a plac3 to stay in Seldovia, Alaska.
